Recently announced MOOCs - iBerry will try to keep this up-to-date. These MOOCS include connectivist MOOCs (cMOOCs - see the MoocGuide) and some xMOOCs but exclude the major xMOOC platforms - see Class Central for these.   • Alaska Southeast University, OLTAK Online Learning and Teaching, Alaska MOOC - participants will hear speakers who are experts in their fields and who are experimenting with innovative and traditional online course design; May 20, - July 12

  • Cornell University, Marketing the Hospitality Brand through New Media: Social, Mobile, & Search - free online course; Take Hospitality Career to Next Level; sustained profitability; Manage multiple distribution channels; online travel agencies, mobile devices, search engines; Learn from industry leaders; Collaborate with professionals; begins on enrolment; 3 weeks to complete
  • eVeltio, Message of the Image, A Photography MOOC- always free, always open, and always online course to explore the softer, non-technical aspects of the photograph and photography; for 4 months; no predefined start date
  • Fanshawe College, Applied Sustainability - free, six-week open online course on Applied Sustainability; Students from anywhere in the world will participate in online field trips, perform hands-on tasks, discuss issues and ultimately be eligible to receive a letter of completion from the College; from May 13
  • FemTechNet: The first DOCC,* a Feminist MOOC - Feminist Dialogues on Technology, will be offered in fifteen classrooms, at least one in every continent, in the Fall of 2013. This project uses technology to enable interdisciplinary and international conversation while privileging situated diversity and networked agency
  • Health Informatics Forum Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) - 16 components each with a number of narrated Flash lectures and a series of online class discussions; now live

  • ich.kurs 13 - [in German] an open online course on personal development; communication, goals, values, beliefs, creativity and emotions; Basis for the course is the coaching concept of ich.raum; personality is the focus of change and development; 22 April to 05 August 2013
  • Massachusetts University and SGL - Molecular Dynamics for Computational Discoveries in Science; develop a deep understanding of the fundamental concepts of computational molecular dynamics while gaining experience with the most popular method for atomistic simulations; March 25th for 12 weeks
  • Michigan State University, Food Fraud Overview MOOC - provides insight into the emerging corporate need of Food Fraud Management; draws on a wide range of current experience and expertise, infusing many real-world applications and problem-solving exercises that will provide a framework for success in the future; May 6 – 24
  • New South Wales University, UNSW Computing 1 - The Art of Programming; 12 week public course presented by OpenLearning with original content derived from UNSW COMPUTING's first year computing course; online for free, the next cohort starts April 28th 2013
  • Oklahoma University, Introduction of Management - provides knowledge of interest to individuals of all ages and backgrounds wishing to learn about managing careers, individuals, organizational situations, strategic decision-making, other key workplace relationships; focus on unique organizations and businesses with specific emphasis on businesses in Oklahoma; June 10 - July 15
  • Open University (UK), Open Education - focused around openness in education; brings together students studying the Open University Masters-level course, H817 Openness and innovation in elearning and open, informal learners; 16 March 2013 for seven weeks
  • Santa Fe Institute, MOOC on Complex Systems Sciences - accessible introduction to the field, with no pre-requisites; dynamics, chaos, fractals, information theory, computation theory, evolution and adaptation, agent-based modeling; how complexity arises and evolves in nature, society, and technology; from 02/04/13 to 05/24/13
  • Textbook Videos, Consumer Behavior in Economics MOOC - designed expressly to help students and lifelong learners improve their understanding; features 52 professionally-produced short videos, animations, text, notes, photo galleries; April 22 - June 10th
