Open Courseware 2.0 (OCW2) ProjectThe OCW2 project is attempting to fill the gap between existing Open Courseware (OCW) and its effective use by online learners. Much of the relevant background has already been discussed - we feel there is a need to support online learners in finding and using Open Educational Resources (OER) best suited to their requirements. For want of a better description we have labeled this type of support, Open Courseware 2.0 (OCW2). The OCW2 space is configured in a "book" structure with Chapter headings similar to those of the OCW Directory (see menu in left sidebar) but any part of the book can be exported in a "linear" form by clicking on "Printer-friendly version". Experts are extremely welcome to assist in this project and all contributions will be fully acknowledged but anyone can help by suggesting subject guides and other orientation material or by creating their own material on the basis of their personal experience with Open Educational Resources. Examples of possible contributions are learning resources such as guides, tutorials or quizzes or even accounts of personal experiences as a learner or educator in relation to a particular academic subject or topic. The idea is to create subject-specific material that will help others make more efficient use of the vast amount of OERs now available. You are welcome to comment anywhere in the OCW2 book space (eg below) or contact us directly.

Learner support and OCW2 Project
Update - the OCW2 project is now being included under Learner Support. The "book" structure will be maintained for OCW2 Computer Science & IT, OCW2 Maths and any future subject guides of the same format. All relevant material for other subjects now appearing here will eventually appear under 'Learner Support' in the main menus.
This will take some time to sort out but all material should be available - somewhere! - at all times.
